Underground Piercing tools are one of the fastest and easiest way to install utilities under roads, sidewalks and driveways without disturbing the surface above. This easy to handle, yet powerful tool, can penetrate the toughest soils to install cable, pipe or conduit. The HB-45 Piercing Tool hammers a 1-7/8" hard packed tunnel underneath the paved surface. Simply dig a starting hole and destination hole. In the starting hole, aim the piercing tool towards the destination hole. Turn on your air supply and start the piercing tool. With a hammering motion, the piercing tool will bore through soil, sand or gravel and arrive at the destination hole. Retrieve the tool at the destination and disconnect the air supply hose. Attach your conduit or pipe to the supply hose and pull your pipe back through the tunnel you just created. No asphalt or concrete cutting, patching, tamping or repaving.
